Is the necklace real gold?

Our EQUA necklace is crafted with an 18k real gold coating that’s 2.5 microns thick. This is about five times thicker than standard gold plating, giving it a richer feel and making it far more durable, sweat-resistant, and long-lasting — while still being a plated piece, not solid gold.

What if I miss a day?

No worries! Life happens. If you miss a day, just jump right back in the next day. Progress over perfection is the mindset here. One missed day doesn’t erase all the steps you've already taken.

Do I need any special equipment?

Nope! Your iPhone or Android phone is literally all you need. If you’ve got a tracker that syncs with your phone (Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop… all the girlies), you’re good to go too. Cute shoes help, but honestly? Not required. Just you, your steps, and the challenge.

Can I start the challenge later?

Consistency over perfection! The goal is to move daily and aim high. If you hit 7 km in one day, you're still winning. The key is showing up for yourself every day and keeping the momentum going.

Do I need to finish in 21 days?

Nope! The 21 days are just the goal— your little “let’s go, queen” target. If life gets messy and you need more time, you still earn the necklace as long as you finish the full challenge. No stress, no pressure, no punishment. Just progress.

Why aren’t my steps syncing correctly on Android?

On some Android devices, step tracking requires a bit more setup than on iOS.

here’s how step syncing works on Android:

  • Your phone needs a step tracking app such as Google Fit or Samsung Health. This app counts and stores your steps.
  • That tracking app must be connected to Health Connect (an official Android app that collects health data in one place, similar to Apple Health on iOS).
  • The Equa Challenges app connects to Health Connect and reads your step data from there.

What causes the issue?

On some Android phones:

  • A step tracking app (Google Fit, Samsung Health, etc.) is not installed, or
  • The tracking app is not connected to Health Connect, or
  • Health Connect permissions are not enabled for step data

If any of the above is missing, Equa Challenges has no step data to read.

What you need to do (step by step)

1. Install a step tracking app (if you don’t have one already)

  • Install Google Fit (most common) or use Samsung Health if you have a Samsung phone.
  • Open it once and allow any requested permissions so it can start recording steps.

2. Install / enable Health Connect

  • Search for Health Connect in the Google Play Store.
  • Install it (or open it if it’s already installed on your phone).

3. Connect your tracking app to Health Connect

  • Open Health Connect
  • Go to App permissions (or similar)
  • Find your step tracking app (Google Fit / Samsung Health)
  • Allow it to write health/fitness data (steps/activity)

4. Reopen Equa Challenges and sync

  • Close and reopen Equa Challenges
  • Wait a minute or trigger a refresh (if the app has a refresh option)

Important to note

Most Android users do not experience this problem. Many already have Google Fit or Samsung Health properly connected, especially users who actively track their health. This affects only a small percentage of users, and for them, the issue is easily fixable once properly guided.
